 Post subject: Local Number Portability USA (Forms/Documentation, etc.)

Dear Link2VoIP Customers,

We're pleased to announce that we now have LNP available in the United States. We do not have a list of "areas available for LNP"as the list is too long - and we offer approximately 93% LNP availability for the US.

To inquire if we have an area available please e-mail lnp@link2voip.com with the NPA-NXX (area code and prefix) of the area in question and we will get back to you with an answer.

For further information on porting please read our LNP Guide:

Once you have confirmed with us that an area is available to port, you can then fill out the following LNP form and we will begin the LNP process over to our network:

If you have general questions you can post it on this thread, otherwise any specific questions regarding your port should be e-mailed to us for your privacy/security.

Note about field: "Service Address". If you are buying directly from an ILEC (Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier) or a CLEC (Competitive Local Exchange Carrier) simply put the physical address of where your telephone number terminates to - this will likely be your office or home address.

If you are buying from a reseller who buys directly from an ILEC/CLEC, then you need to put the physical address where the reseller has the equipment which runs your phone line. This would usually be at the facility address of their VPRI/PRI equipment.

If you are buying from a company that resells from another carrier, who resells from an ILEC/CLEC, then you may have some problems finding out that information. Our advice is to contact the company and ask them. They may not cooperate and not wish to disclose who they purchase from, so porting from a reseller of a reseller could be a problem and we may not be able to do this for you.

Please note that we do not yet offer toll free, cellular, or International Local Number Portability at this time. We may do so in the future.

An updated LNP Guide, LNP PDF, and LNP Availability file have been uploaded today.

The LNP Guide/PDF has our new e-mail address for submitting LNP requests. lnp@link2voip.com. We are no longer accepting LNP requests to support@link2voip.com due to them getting rejected by the support e-mail server (which is tied into RT).
